How to Get a Free Personal Firewall for Your Computer
What to do
To get the Free Comodo Firewall, visit here, and then click on the download now button in the Comodo Personal Firewall box. You will be asked for your name and email address - we recommend using a registration email for this site. Once you have submitted the information, download and install the software.
Launch Comodo Firewall. Comodo will send an activation code to your email address. Make sure you input the activation code to activate your free license for the Comodo software.
In the beginning of the use, when you use a program that connects to the Internet (like Internet Explorer, Firefox, or iTunes), Comodo Firewall will ask you whether you to allow or deny a particular program to access the Internet. If it is a program you use frequently, you can check the box next to ‘Remember my answer for this application’ and then clicking on the allow button. Over time, Comodo will learn which programs you want to have access to the Internet, and will stop asking you whether or not it should allow these programs access to the Internet.
