How to Save Money on Everyday Living
An easy way to save money on everyday living is to get a book of coupons. Here’s our suggestion:
What to do
The best coupon book we know of is the Entertainment book, available at Entertainment.com.
Before you purchase the book, see if they have a local version for you. You can do so buy clicking on the Local Savings tab at the top of the screen. On the page that comes up, enter your ZIP code in the designated box and click the blue search button.
You should be taken to the Entertainment book most relevant for you. Scroll down the page - sample savings are listed in different categories. To see some of the specific coupons in your particular book, click on any of the company names listed. You can also see all of the companies offering coupons in your area clicking on the View All link next to the category names.
If you want to see what an actual Entertainment book looks like inside, click on the Peek Inside tab at the top of the screen. On the page that appears, click on any of the blue tabs to see a ‘real’ flipping of pages in the book.
If you think the book will save you money and want to buy it, you can save money on your purchase in the following manner:
Visit Fatwallet. Log in. If you need an account, you can register for one for free. We suggest using a registration email. To learn more about FatWallet, read our article Cash Back Sites Explained. Type ‘Entertainment Books’ in the upper right hand corner search box. In the search results, the link Entertainment Books will appear at the top. Click on it. It will take you to the the Fat Wallet Entertainment Books page. Under Cash Back! click on the blue link $5 Cash Back Rebate Available!. You will be taken to the Entertainment.com homepage.
Make your purchase. Because you clicked through FatWallet.com, you will get $5 cash back on the cost of your Entertainment book.
A little more
The Entertainment book is a great way to save on everyday living. It is full of coupons for various stores, restaurants, movie theater tickets, travel, and so forth. All the coupons are in one place, so you don’t have to go and hunt for them.
What we tell people is simple: check out your local Entertainment book, and see what coupons it offers. We estimate that most people WILL NOT use MOST coupons in the book, unless they shop at a lot of different establishments. Before you buy, make sure the book is a good value for you. If so, buy it. If not, forget about it.
Remember that using a coupon book takes discipline. Each time you are going to make a purchase, you need to look at the coupon book and see if there are any coupons that can save you money. But it may be worth it - especially if you eat out a lot, go to the movies often, or like to travel.
