What to do

MSN Autos – Gas Prices GasPriceWatch.com GasBuddy.com
If you get gas regularly at either Exxon or Mobil stations, we recommend signing up for the free Upromise program. (You can read our article on Upromise here.) Register a credit card with Upromise. Currently, if you buy more than 20 gallons of gas a month at either Exxon or Mobil stations, and pay using a registered credit card, 1 cent per gallon is placed in your Upromise account.
A little more
You can look for the cheapest gas prices in your area by using any of the sites listed above.
Each one offers interesting features. For example, Gasbuddy.com lets you target your search on gas or diesel prices, and also offers you the ability to create a ‘Pump Price Graph’ so you can see the trend of gas prices over time. GasPriceWatch.com allows you to easily get directions to the cheapest gas station using A9, Google Maps, or Mapquest.
Note: Keep traveling distance in mind when you choose a gas station. Why do we recommend Upromise? It’s free. If you often fill up at Exxon or Mobil either for the convenience or the price, you may as well get some money back. You can sign up with Upromise for free, register your credit cards, and then forget about it – the money is automatically credited to your account whenever you make applicable purchases per the Upromise rules.
