- Get yourself one of the following:
- A headset, which has a microphone and headphones, like the Logitech 980158-0403 Internet Chat Headset (cheaper)
- A skype compatible phone, which you can get by visiting Skype Store USA (more expensive)
- Set-up your audio equipment according to the instructions provided with your equipment.

- Install the program, and then sign-up for a Skype Name and Password.
When you are near your computer and have internet access, plug-in your equipment and launch Skype to make free phone calls to US and Canadian landlines and cell phones (until the end of 2006)!

Think of Skype like a ‘free’ landline at home - with the exception that people can’t call your computer from a normal phone when you have the basic free Skype Account. That’s okay. When you are at home, have people call you on your cell phone. You can always offer to call them back on Skype.
