Want an easy way to save on your purchases online? Discover whether the store you want to make a purchase at charges you sales tax. Depending on where the product is being delivered, and how much your item costs, buying your item from an online store that doesn’t charge you sales tax can add up to huge savings.
Remember, sales tax is almost always charged according to where you are shipping your item, versus where you are purchasing it from.

Quicklist
We went out to discover if anyone had compiled a comprehensive list of where online stores charged sales tax. When we couldn’t find one, we created our own ‘quicklist’ to give you a snapshot of the top online stores sales tax policies.
Using Alexa, we put together a list of the top 50 US online stores, leaving out auction sites or marketplaces. Then we researched each store to find out about it’s sales tax policy.
If we could find a link to the store’s sales tax policy, it’s provided. Otherwise, the information was acquired through contacting customer service of that particular store over the phone, or via email. All the information below is public information.
Remember: this information is always changing, and should only be considered a ‘rough guide’ of who charges sales tax in which states.
