A little more

Dell is a popular place to purchase computer items online. There are a couple of easy steps you can take to shop intelligently at this store.

Say the base price of your Dell system is $1,000. The simple act of signing up for a free FatWallet account, and then clicking to Dell through FatWallet could get you $30 cash back. The money is deposited as cash back in your FatWallet account.

Dell also releases some great coupon codes - but make sure you check any restrictions carefully. A lot of Dell’s codes regarding computers are ‘time based’ - the codes are only applicable to the first ‘x’ number of systems sold after the coupon code is released. Nevertheless, searching for a Dell coupon code before you make your purchase can sometimes save you hundreds of dollars.

However, Dell coupon codes are especially important if you are considering buying accessories. For example, if you are considering buying items like a digital camera or a printer, we highly recommend you check for coupon codes on these items.

Some more cost-saving tips on buying a Dell Computer:

  • Customization is expensive - Dell offers some great customization features, but be aware that customizing your computer often makes the price go up (this is a general rule for most stores). Think hard about what your needs are before you purchase the computer.
  • Timing is important - Like most electronics, the longer you wait, the more likely it is that the price of the computer you want will go down.
  • There may be some cases where using a coupon code invalidates your cash back discount - If this is the case, choose the option that will maximize your savings.
